The Climate Change Response Act 2019, more commonly known as the Zero Carbon Bill/Act, establishes a framework for developing and implementing stable climate change policies that are aligned with New Zealand’s commitments under the Paris Agreement. Our services are designed to help clients prepare for and adapt to the impacts of climate change while also contributing to global efforts to limit the increase in average global temperatures to 1.5°C above pre-industrial levels.

Our team has recently completed a report investigating various transport policy levers and their combinations to achieve the government’s 2035 targets in major New Zealand regions.
We have also explored the inclusion of adaptive decision-making approaches to climate change in the Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Authority MBCM and to assess interventions that could reduce land transport greenhouse gas emissions and promote mode change.
